This blog post has been a long time coming and one I’ve wanted to share with you all for a lonnnnngg time. However, just when I’m about to write this post I accidently, and as if in slow motion, split water on my MacBook. Fast forward to today and I have a new MacBook in tow and more importantly, I get to share this with you.
Cuckooz is seriously one of those places I’d wish were based in every city. I’ve never stayed in an Air bnb as I’m such a hotel snob (personal preference). However, Cuckooz can be best described as a hotel meets personal apartment. With your own clean personal apartment, you’re provided with your own kitchen, living room area, bedrooms and pristine white tiled bathroom. Some apartments even have their own private outdoor space and balconies.
These apartments have been beautifully designed by Interior Designer duo and fellow bloggers Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead of 2 Lovely Studio in collaboration with Habitat.
Both Jordan and Rusell are the most innovative and out-of-the-box interior designers I know. Nothing is generic or clichéd in their design aesthetic. Each room has a very modern just playful design which has a calming feel.
Perfect when you’re looking for a place to chill, relax and take time away from your busy day-to-day life or just as a base to explore the city. Located in Aldgate East in the East End of London it’s only a stone’s throw away from Shoreditch yet very easily accessible to London transport and the rest of the city too.
Using Habitat’s stylish contemporary furniture together with silver speckled wallpaper by Custhom, textiles by Kvadrat and Studio Folk and rugs by Floor Story, the interior pieces within each flat really do pull together to create a cosy, stylish luxe pad. Jordan and Russell have done superbly here to create a perfect balance between their signature style and commercial interior design.
Enjoy Your Stay
Thanks to Habitat I was invited to the launch and subsequently took another visit to view the apartments privately to give an honest and true perspective. I always give my own personal views. They are always my own and this post is definitely not sponsored. I really like this apartment concept created by creative duo Charlie and Fabienne. Both avid explorers these two have used their experiences in travel and culture. Accumulatively they celebrate local living and embody its community spirit within its apartments. This, in turn, helps to give Cuckooz an organic sense of place. Becuase of this you also get the freedom to explore on your own time without the feeling of being trapped within a hotel environment for those who prefer not to do the whole hotel stay experience. You can book an apartment for a minimum of 2 nights with a whole apartment to yourself. Book here and click for details.
